Wonderful books from a remarkable woman. Carolyn j Morris is like a breath of spring in the depths of winter. Peter Campbell
Screenwriter, Actor
It is special the way Carolyn j Morris writes about the dignity of rural living. Her writing of farm life is very realistic. It is important people realize the significance of farms and the values that were taught by farm families. It is good when farm life is appreciated, as it is in Carolyn's writing. Rob Keffer

The characters are very believable and the situation very touching. The grieving process is told in a way that captures both children and adults alike. Everyone can identify with these feelings. I am certain that Mourning Dove will be a wonderful resource in school libraries as well as in hospitals and funeral homes. Dr. Mary Pat Tillmann

Carolyn j. Morris is a warm, captivating woman who cares deeply about the people she interacts with - at home, work, church, and in the community. Through the devastation of her own loss, Morris uses her writing to reach out to others as both part of her own healing process and in the hope that she can help others heal. Ben Landovskis
Mourning Dove is an excellent short story for readers both young and old. I have read many books, and I have also written a few. Those that catch and hold my attention speak to me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually; this story accomplishes all three. The author, Carolyn j Morris, engages the reader from the first page and leads one forward from chapter to chapter. The reader is soon acquainted with the characters and touched by their emotions. Obviously, Carolyn is drawing upon her own personal experiences. Making use of a wonderful gift for descriptive writing, Carolyn helps us to see each scene in the mind's eye. It would make an excellent family movie. My score for Mourning Dove is ten out of ten! Ralph E. Braden
